“We are here — and we will defend Ukrainian sovereignty.”

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, February 25, 2022

“Israel has AIPAC. Ukraine will need an American Ukraine Public Affairs Committee.”

The Hill, April 26, 2024

The Reality in Washington

A clear majority of Americans support Ukraine. A bipartisan majority of Congress supports Ukraine.

But support alone does not produce results.

In Washington, goodwill does not automatically become legislation, sustained funding, or long-term strategic commitment. Political outcomes require constant presence, professional advocacy, and institutional power.

This is the lesson of every successful foreign policy constituency. AIPAC spent six decades — and now over $100 million annually — building durable influence. Ukraine’s supporters must meet the same challenge at the scale and seriousness the moment demands.

Our Mission

Founded in 2024, the American Ukraine Committee (AmUkr) exists for one purpose:

To convert broad public and congressional support for Ukraine into concrete, durable political outcomes in Washington.

We are building a permanent, bipartisan, and credible presence on Capitol Hill—one that ensures Ukraine’s interests are heard, understood, and defended year after year, regardless of political cycles.

American Ukraine Committee (amukr.org) is a 501(c)(4) a membership organization focused on outreach to Congress.

American Ukraine Political Action Committee (amukrpac.org) is a Federally registered PAC which provides campaign donations to pro-Ukraine Congressmen.
